MY cutie composition class fell from heaven to hell this semester and today is my first meet with Pro. Lin in class. Rumor has it that Pro. Lin tortures students with homework and tests a lot, but today I saw a completely different image on him. The way he teaches is so awesome that I can totally absorb what he said to us. Also, he kept cheering us up that studying in DFL is a great thing. Some people said that studying in DFL is useless for everybody can speak English. However, can those people speak as fluent as our alumni? I don’t think so. Can those people write nice article or even be a journalist in the U.S? Maybe yes. But few.

To be honest, the weakest part of my English is Writing. Even though Mr. Ku taught me a lot in writing, I still can not write it well. Not until today do I realize the reason. Every time I write a composition I think of the sentence pattern such as using compound sentence, complex sentence bla bla but ignore the content of the article. Just as Pro. Lin said, we should always hook the reader into the article from the beginning. Ja! Now I understand this skill. yohoo~~~ To sum up, the conclusion I got today is “writing is filming.” Indeed, the description should not just tell and explain the story, but “show” the plot to the reader. Let them feel like they are also watching and experiencing the same thing as the character do.Hope that after the torture during this semester, I can deal with composition very well. Haha^^
